POAL PRESENTATION AT APPLIED IMPROV CONFERENCE
Workshop looks at improv’s role in expanding human repertoire
The Applied Improvisation Network (AIN) is a community of business professionals, scholars, and practitioners who use improv tools, experience, and theory for human development and training in communities and organizations. Invited to participate at AIN’s annual conference held in Banff, Canada in November, POAL’s Cathy Salit and Maureen Kelly delivered an interactive session entitled “Creating New Life Performances: Improvisation for Personal Growth and Development,” in which they explored and played with improvisation’s role in human development, particularly its usefulness in expanding our repertoire of characters and scripts.
