PERFORMING THE WORLD 2008

Performance of a Lifetime presented at conference in New York City

Performance of a Lifetime was among the presenters at Performing the World 2008 in October. The three-day conference/festival for performance activists from around the world was the fifth gathering of PTW since it began in 2001, and took place for the first time in New York City. PTW08 has been described by its organizers as “a three-day ‘happening’ of performances, workshops, panel discussions, lectures, community tours and improvisation, bringing together artists, activists, young people, and scholars from dozens of countries, all of whom are involved in the emergence of performance as a new way of relating to, understanding, and changing the world.” For more information on the conference and its community click here.
